MLE - Mobile Learning Engine:
The "Mobile Learning Engine" (MLE) is a comprehensive learning application. It transfers the computer-aided and multimedia-based learning (known as eLearning) to a mobile environment (to a mobile phone). This special kind of computer-aided and multimediabased learning with a mobile device is commonly known as "mLearning".

The MLE is the first true mobile learning application for mobile phones and is developed since 2003.

We have an extension for Moodle (an open source learning management system / LMS), that enables you to use your Moodle eLearning environment with the MLE. The MLE-Moodle extension and the MLE mobile phone client allows you to enhance your eLearning environment with mLearning.

1.0 is getting closer!

Now the Moodle activity database is now useable (list-view, single-view, searching) with MLE-Moodle on the mobile phone!

Here is the changelog for all the bugs I have fixed since 0.8.1: 
- fixed a serious quiz bug: a quiz with multiple pages --> page navigation was not displayed
- after turning on errors/warnings on php --> several warnings fixed (not serious though)
- fixed a formatting bug: mathematics notations (and other filters) were not displayed in MLE-Moodle!
- for mobile-browser view: blog/forum posts use now a textarea instead of a text-input field
- little bug with questions created with the MLE-Editor in the browser-view: "_rndstart not supported" message is now removed
- activity database added --> databases can now be viewed via the MLE client / browser mode
- back-link has been shown on the start-page too: link is now removed on the start-page
- bug fixed: unclosed span-tags --> [ 2540231 ] Small rendering problem on the course pages
- logout/login bug fixed: after logout the old user was still logged-in
- wurfl-db and j2me-device db update

New in 0.8.1:
  • HTML + CSS Validation: MLE-Moodle validates now to XHTML Mobile Profile 1.0 und 1.2
  • MLE-Moodle has now an internal download-server for the MLE mobile phone client
  • MLE-Moodle and the MLE mobile phone client can now be used without any additional server software and without dependency on any other server (see the MLE-Moodle configuration page for details)
  • The MLE-Moodle configuration was restructured and the settings are better explained
  • a few bugs fixed (especially a nasty quiz-bug)

If you want to upgrade please read the "IMPORTANT - Upgrade from 0-7-9 or older - MUST READ.txt" file in the ZIP archive!!!

This release is not 100% compatible to the previous releases, because the file-structure has been altered!
